Hatching chicks in your classroom is a fun and educational activity which will get your students cracking on many areas of study. We would like to help you with your hatching projects as much as possible - so please ask any questions and we will try to help. It is a requirement for all WA Schools to apply for approval from the Schools Animal Ethics Committee (SAEC) prior to having our hatching program. We recommend that you secure a booking with us first, as we do book out very quickly, and you will require a booking date in the SAEC form. If the required information is submitted on the SAEC form, approval will be granted for three (3) year period. On the SAEC website there is a sample form that can be downloaded for you to fill in your relevant school information (click here). You will have to go the the SAEC website for details on whom to either fax or post your forms to - there different contacts for Public, Independent and Catholic Schools. For you convenience, below are copies of these forms... U Can Hatch Us is not affiliated with the SAEC, however we like to ensure that teachers are equipped with all the information that is required to make your experience an enjoyable one. The SAEC meet in Week 3 & Week 8 of term and require the form to be with them two weeks prior to these meetings. To ensure approval is granted please make sure the form is completed and they receive in time, they will then contact you with any amendments needed, so at the meeting approval will be granted. Please be assured that U Can Hatch Us complies with SAEC requirements and that we are a recognised provider. Approval will be granted provided the SAEC form is completed correctly and received in time. |
